The first thing you need to do is open a vehicle for which to build the trailer. Use the step-by-step wizard to find the vehicle which best suits your needs, as follows:
Luyi Product Page
Click on ‘Tractor Unit/Semi Truck/Prime Mover’
Click on the ‘vehicle axle layout’ you wish to build on. Choose between 4×2, 4×4, 6×2, 6×4, 6×6, 8×4 Single Steer. For example, “6×4”.
If the manufacturer, range, or model you are looking for is not on the list, click on ‘Generic Template’ in any of the following screens to ‘build your own’ vehicle, by applying weights and dimensions values from a specification sheet. Alternatively click ‘Request a Vehicle’ at the bottom of the selection screen and our support team will add your vehicle to our database.
Choose which make you wish to build on. For example “FUSO”.
On the “Select a vehicle range” page, choose between the different ranges of vehicles from the make. For example, “Super Great”
Choose the model of vehicle you wish to build on. For example “FUSO FV 26-420 TT”
Note the 3 high level tabs, ‘Vehicle’, ‘Trailer 1’, and ‘Payload’.
On the ‘Trailer 1’ tab, click on ‘Add’ to open the selection page.
On the ‘Build Your Own’ tab, click on the arrow at the bottom right of the page to go to page 2. Choose between a list of trailers labelled ‘Semi Chassis (4×2)(2 axle)’ etc.. For example, double click ‘Semi Chassis (4×2)(2axle)’.

Below ‘Trailer 1’, a set of sub tabs – ‘Length’, ‘Weights, ‘Equipment”, ‘Axles’ – appears. Click the >> icon to view more tabs, for example, ‘Height’.
On the ‘Equipment’ tab, click ‘Add’ to open selection page.
Double click “Template Curtainsider/Tautliner” from within the ‘Body’ tab.
A Curtainsider/Tautliner body has been added to the trailer and the weight of the body has been added to the calculation beneath the drawing. Note tare weight (Curb weight) of the vehicle, unladen trailer weight, gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), weight distribution over each axle, the total truck weight and maximum payload achievable with this configuration. The Permissible weights are the ‘lower of’ maximum weights allowed by the vehicle manufacturer and the legislation that has been applied to the calculation.
A set of sub tabs relating to the body appear, titled “Length”, “Weights”, “Height” and “Width”.
Use the ‘Length’ tab to adjust dimensions such as distance from ‘Back of cab’, the ‘Weights’ tab to specify body material weight, the ‘Height’ tab to adjust the height of the body, the ‘Width’ tab to adjust sidewall thickness.
Click the PDF icon to export a report of the current view. This report can be customised with your logo. To export other views, click on the relevant buttons from ‘Side’, ‘Top’, ‘Turning Circle’, ‘Summary’, ‘’Extras’, ‘Bridge’, ‘Diminishing Load’.
Use the disk icon to save your calculation to your computer. Use the Open icon to access this file at a later date.
